One problem in Ubud/Bali is power outages. There are two kinds, short outages and long outages. Short power outages aren’t a big issue and only last five minutes usually. This happened twice when I stayed in the countryside and once when I stayed in Ubud Center, and the power returned after five minutes.
The first stop that you should make is at Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Most of the local Balinese people makes a living as a farmer, specializing as a rice farmer. Hence, there are many rice terraces in Bali. In Ubud, the most photogenic one is Tegalalang Rice Terraces. The entrance fee is Rp 15,000 IDR per person.
Answer 1 of 13: I am absolutely terrified of snakes. I appreciate they will be in Bail however will normally stay away from people. My only concern is if people stand in the street with them round their necks for photographs.
